Additional Local Rules
RBGF Terms of Competition, Permanent Local Rules
and Code of Conduct are in operation.

- Out of Bounds (R18.2) : A ball completely on or beyond the parking area is out of bounds even if it comes to rest on another part of the course.
- Penalty areas (R17.1) : Marked with red stakes with a green top = no play zones from which play and retrieval of the ball is prohibited.
– Hole 6, including all immovable obstructions : as an additional option the player may use the dropping zone located beyond the dune to the right.
– Hole 18 : as an additional option the player may use the dropping zone located beyond the dune to the left. - Abnormal Course Conditions including immovable obstructions (R16.1) Ground under repair
– Marked by blue lines or blue stakes with a green top = no play zones -> play prohibited.
– Marked by white lines or blue stakes -> play optional.
– In the general area, areas of damage caused by birds are treated as Ground under Repair from which free relief is allowed under Rule 16.1b or, if the ball is on the green, under R16.1.d.
Immovable obstructions
– Paths and roads with artificial surface (including woodchips). - Integral objects:
– All buildings and shelters.
– Artificial retaining walls and pilings located in penalty areas. - Abnormal temporary accumulation of leaves : Only from October 15th until December 15th ; when applied by player->no qualifying conditions !
Any ground with temporary accumulations of leaves in the general area or in a bunker is treated as ground under repair from which free relief is. - Preferred Lies (if applicable)
When a player’s ball lies in a part of the general area cut to fairway height or less the player may take free relief once by placing the original ball or another ball in and playing it from this relief area:
– Reference Point: Spot of the original ball.
– Size of Relief Area Measured from Reference Point: One scorecard length or 15cm from the reference point, but with these limits:Must not be nearer the hole than the reference point, and
– Must be in the general area.
In proceeding under this Local Rule, the player must choose a spot to place the ball and use the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.
Note: It’s recommended to mark the position of the ball before lifting and placing it. - ALTERNATIVE TO STROKE AND DISTANCE FOR LOST BALL OR BALL OUT OF BOUNDS (not applicable for annual Club Championships)
For general play the club endorses the option provided by the Model Local Rule 8.E-5.
Penalty for Playing Ball from a Wrong Place in Breach of Local Rule: General Penalty Under Rule 14.7a. - MAXIMUM SCORE IN STROKE PLAY : (not applicable for annual Club Championships, nor for Flag Competitions)
For general play the maximum score in stroke play is set at Par +4
